General Orientation
The general orientation is to prepare participants for full understanding and insight of nursing practice in wards. Exchanging of nursing knowledge and experiences for better nursing care and nursing management between host staff and training participants are also expected.Nursing administrative & practices in level of nursing sections are as followings:
Care Setting
Nursing Divisions are divided according to specialties of patient care which are medical, surgical, pediatric, obstetric & gynecological, orthopedic, eye, ear, nose, throat, psychiatric and others.
Wards Setting
Each nursing Division consists of several wards / units. One general nursing ward is officially composed of 25-30 patient beds. Intensive care ward has official number of beds between 6-12. Most of nursing Divisions consist of both general and intensive care wards. Except Out Patients, Operating, and Private Nursing Divisions.
Nursing Care Delivery System
Every nursing division deploys nursing process for caring of patients. The nursing process consists 5 steps of nursing practices;
- Nursing Assessment
- Nursing Diagnosis
- Nursing Care Plan
- Nursing Intervention
- Nursing Evaluation
Care giving to patient’s, varies types of care methods are conducted according to necessity and suitability of the wards / nursing divisions. Patient care methods used are functional nursing care, primary nursing care, case management, and inter-disciplinary care.
Quality Improvement
All departments in the hospital including the Nursing Department and all Nursing Divisions perform quality improvement according to Hospital Accreditation (HA.) Program. HA. Program brief concepts are making progress of continuous quality improvement according to vision & mission of organization, customer focus approach, emphasis on inter-disciplinary care team, humanized care, evidence-based practice, research supporting.
Besides direct nursing care to patients through nursing standards, wards simultaneously practice activities for quality maintenance and quality improvement such; patients round by C3THER round profile, quality assurance, patient’s rights fulfillment, patient education, risk management, incident report, infection control, on the job & bed side training, customer satisfaction & complaints, evidence–based practice, innovation, routine to research (R to R) , quality indicators monitoring and etc.
