Cancer Research Unit

CRU Direction

The research of the Cancer Research Unit (CRU) is driven by real-world questions from healthcare professionals and developed in collaboration with experts across various fields. Our goal is to bridge basic research with clinical challenges to advance precision medicine in cancer therapy by gaining a deeper understanding of the disease at the molecular level.
CRU focuses on developing effective platform for analyzing cancer-relevant data in “Liquid Biopsy,” with particular emphasis on cfDNA size distribution and the characterization of circulating tumor cell (CTC) subtypes. Ongoing research is exploring the mechanisms of aberrations in cfDNA fragmentomics and single cell profiling of CTCs using advanced molecular oncology techniques and bioinformatics.
To address challenges such as drug resistance and metastasis, our research also concentrates on identifying novel targets for immunotherapy and targeted therapies. This is achieved through an in-depth understanding of tumor heterogeneity, the tumor microenvironment, and tumor evolution, all driven by multi-omic analysis of biological specimens.
