Emergency room, Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital provide emergency care service, advanced life support for the injured or accident patients and patients with life-threatening emergencies, including patients in critical illnesses that need immediate treatment

Service procedure

  1. Assessing symptoms and vital signs to sort out the level of urgency (Triage) and register at the emergency triage unit.
  2. Undergo a medical examination and perform procedures in the emergency room (the duration of medical treatment depends on the symptoms and severity of the disease).
  3. Transfer the patient to the ward in the case of hospitalization or receiving documents, appointments if able to go home

We open 24/7. (24 hours a day / 7 days a week)

The level of urgency of emergency patients

The levels are divided according to the Canadian Triage Acuity Scale as follows:

Level 1 Resuscitated

Patients requiring cardiopulmonary resuscitation receive immediate treatment.

Level 2 Emergency

Patients with life-threatening emergencies, be examined within 30 minutes.

Level 3 Urgency

Patients with urgent symptoms, be examined within 30 minutes.

Level 4 Less urgency

Patients with non-urgent symptoms, be examined within 60 minutes.

Level 5 Non urgency

General patients or by appointment, be examined within 120 minutes.
